Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected when you use the Stayground website and mobile applications (together, the “Service”). Stayground is a product of ZDevStudio LLC and is operated in Egypt by Technology Foundry. Technology Foundry is the data controller for the personal data processed through the Service and is responsible for it under Egyptian data-protection law (Law No. 151 of 2020). In this policy, “Stayground,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Technology Foundry as operator, together with ZDevStudio LLC as publisher where relevant. Stayground connects international schools, coaches, and parents to organise after-school enrichment activities. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who uses Stayground

The Service is intended for adults: school administrators, coaches, and parents. The Service is not directed at children, and children do not create their own accounts. Where a parent or school provides information about a child (such as a child’s name to register them for an activity), that information is supplied by the responsible adult and used only to manage the relevant enrolment.

Because some of this information relates to children, we treat it as sensitive. A parent or legal guardian must give explicit consent before we process a child's information, and for a child under 15 that consent is given by the guardian. A parent may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us (see Section 10).

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — your name, email address, phone number, password (stored in encrypted form), and your role (school administrator, coach, or parent).
• School information — for school administrators: the school’s name, code, address, type, and related details.
• Coach profile information — for coaches: professional details such as areas of specialisation and a short biography.
• Children’s information — for parents: your child’s name, grade or age group, and any optional notes you choose to add (such as medical or allergy information relevant to an activity). This is provided by you as the parent or guardian and is treated as sensitive information.
• Activity information — bookings, enrolments, schedules, ratings, and related records you create while using the Service.
• Payment information — when you pay a school directly (for example by InstaPay or bank transfer), the payment method you used and a copy of the receipt you upload (a screenshot, photo, or PDF). A receipt may show your name, the amount, the date, and partial account or transaction details. We do not collect or store card numbers or bank login details.
• Communications — emails we send (such as invitations and account notifications) and messages you send to us.
• Technical and usage information — basic device and app information, log data, a device push token used to send you notifications, and signals such as when you first open the mobile app, used to operate and improve the Service.

3. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and verify your identity at login.
• To provide the core features of the Service — linking parents to schools, managing coach invitations and profiles, and handling bookings and enrolments.
• To let a school confirm your payment, confirm your child's enrolment or your booking, and record any refund the school sends you.
• To send you essential communications, such as invitations, confirmations, and account-related notices.
• To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service.
• To understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

• Within your school community — for example, a coach’s profile is visible to the school administrators they work with, and relevant booking details are shared between the parties involved in an activity.
• With the school you are paying — your payment receipt and payment details are shared only with the administrators of the school you are paying, so they can verify the payment and process any refund.
• With service providers who help us run the Service under contract, including our cloud hosting and backend providers, our authentication provider, and our email-delivery provider. These providers process data only on our behalf and in line with this policy.
• For legal reasons — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
• In a business transfer — if Stayground is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data storage and security

Your information is stored on secure cloud infrastructure operated by our service providers, which is located outside Egypt, including in the United States (our database and hosting providers, Convex and Vercel). We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and encrypted password storage, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information after account closure where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Payment receipts are kept with the related booking for as long as needed for the school's accounting and to resolve disputes, and are deleted when your account is deleted, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

7. Your rights and choices

You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or ask us to close your account, by contacting us at the email below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. You can also stop using the Service and uninstall the app at any time.

You may also withdraw any consent you have previously given at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out), and you may lodge a complaint with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Centre.

8. International data transfers

Stayground operates primarily in Egypt and the wider MENA region, but your personal data is processed and stored on servers located outside Egypt, including in the United States, by our service providers (such as Convex and Vercel).

Transferring personal data outside Egypt is a “cross-border transfer” under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020). To protect your information when it leaves Egypt, we rely on (a) your explicit consent, given when you sign up, and (b) data-processing agreements with our providers that require them to protect your data to a comparable standard. We are also working to obtain any authorisations required under Egyptian law for these transfers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be communicated to you directly. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
