Refund Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for payments made through the Stayground platform. Stayground is a product of ZDevStudio LLC and is operated in Egypt by Technology Foundry (together, “Stayground,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Stayground is a technology platform that lets schools, parents, and instructors book and pay for activities and facilities; we are not the provider of the programs or sessions themselves. This policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. Two kinds of payment
The way a refund is handled depends on what you paid for:
- School program payments — a parent paying to enrol a child in a program organised by a school.
- Instructor facility rentals — an instructor paying a school to rent a facility for a private session.
2. School program payments (parents)
When a parent reserves a place in a paid school program, payment is made directly to the school by InstaPay or bank transfer, and the parent uploads a receipt in the app. The place is held for up to 24 hours while the parent pays, and is confirmed once the school verifies the receipt. Stayground does not handle the money itself.
Refunds for a school program are governed by the cancellation policy of the school that runs the program, which is shown to you at the time of booking. If you are eligible for a refund, you can request it by cancelling in the app where cancellation is available, or by contacting us at the email below, and we will help arrange it with the school.
3. Instructor facility rentals
When an instructor cancels a facility rental, the refund is calculated automatically based on how far in advance the booking is cancelled, following the cancellation policy shown before the booking is confirmed. In general, the earlier a booking is cancelled, the larger the refund.
The app shows you the exact refundable amount before you confirm a cancellation, so there are no surprises. Where a payment never completed, the slot can be released without any charge.
4. How refunds are paid
Where a payment was made online through our third-party payment provider, an approved refund is returned to the original payment method, and the time it takes to appear depends on the provider and your bank. Where a payment was made directly to the school (for example by InstaPay, bank transfer, or in cash), the school decides the refund amount under its cancellation policy and sends it back to you directly. In the app the refund shows as "Refund in review" until the school marks it as sent, and then as "Refunded" with the amount.
5. How to request a refund
The fastest way is to cancel the relevant booking in the app, where the refundable amount (if any) is shown before you confirm. If you cannot do this, or you have a question about a refund, contact us at the email below with your account email and the booking details.
